Individual Therapy

I appreciate the responsibility that comes from working with people who place their trust and confidence in me to help them through difficult times.

As a psychotherapist, I consider it an honour to be alongside you whilst you learn about yourself at a deep level, why you behave the way you do both at an automatic and conscious level.   I offer a safe confidential space for self-exploration and will help you to navigate through and resolve troubling issues in your life to experience a place of healing and wholeness.  It is possible to learn how to heal hurt and negative beliefs that we may have carried throughout our lives and from one relationship to another.

I work at your pace with what you bring, and I will invite you to reflect on life issues including self-esteem, dealing with difficult feelings, understanding how the mind works, self-preservation and relationship issues.    When we have an understanding of these parts of ourselves we can feel sufficiently empowered to trust our own judgements and feel more comfortable with the choices we make and confident with our ways of self-expression.    Over time our valuable inner resources can become distorted by difficult life experiences.  One of the therapeutic aims will be open to a new way of relating to your feelings with curiosity rather than judgement and with compassion and respect and work out what drives them rather than feeling separate or trying to escape from them.

Therapy can be an enriching process, somewhere to learn how to be the best you can be which will benefit you and those close to you.  I would like to think you will find talking a rewarding process and lifelong achievement.
