THERAPEUTIC SERVICES
I provide therapy services for individuals, couples and families, and clinical supervision and team consulting
I am a therapist and supervisor, offering clinical supervision and reflective practice to individuals and teams across local authority, academic, and private settings.
My career began in 2002 as a children’s social worker, where I developed a deep appreciation for the complex and often conflicting demands within systems that hold both care and control at their core. This early experience shaped interest in how individuals navigate and make sense of the wider systems that surround them.
I completed my training in Systemic Family Therapy in 2013 and have since worked across a range of settings, including children’s mental health, youth justice, adult mental health, and the criminal justice system. I have held senior management roles and provided individual and group clinical supervision and reflective practice sessions. In 2019, I qualified as a systemic supervisor and have since supported and continue to support a range of local authority teams, including those focused on adolescent services, children in care, and mental health.
In addition to my supervisory work, I see clients in my private practice. My approach within both domains is shaped by both professional experience and personal journey. Growing up in a diverse community in East London, I witnessed and experienced the challenges of navigating multiple, intersecting systems. These experiences taught me to recognise the strengths and resources that people carry, often quietly, and how these can be nurtured through therapeutic work.
I work from a person-centred and systemic perspective, grounded in the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. I see many behaviours that are often labelled as ‘unhelpful’ as strategies that have, in certain contexts, served a meaningful purpose. I aim to create a space that is accepting, empathic, and transparent, supporting clients in building self-awareness and understanding.
Often the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world are shaped by many sources—our families, schools, media, religious traditions, and sometimes psychiatry. Therapy, for me, is a collaborative space where we can gently question and reflect on these influences, opening new possibilities for change and growth.
